Pacific Biolabs, Inc. (PBL)

PBL is a Northern California based contract research organization (CRO) offering testing and research support services primarily focused on supporting the pharmaceutical (small molecules), biopharma (large molecules), and medical device industries. Specializing in microbiology, in vivo services, analytical chemistry, and cell-based in vitro bioassays, PBL is committed to helping its clients deliver lifesaving medicines and medical devices to physicians and patients who need them.

University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), College of Nursing

UIC currently has more than 1,500 baccalaureate and graduate students, and processes some three to four hundred new applications every year. Upon acceptance, an individual program and schedule needs to be established for each new student.

To streamline their intake process, UIC needed to extend their admissions database for the College of Nursing to an extranet. The extranet is a collection of client portals, each targeting a specific step in the process. It supports the workflow of enquiry, application, recommendation, assessment, and program plans.
